Revenant Real?

Scientists Uncover Medieval Remains Of The First English 'Living Dead'

And we're not talking zombies here, people. These would be vampires.

Here's a primer: zombies are stupid and basically disintegrating as we speak, but vampires are alluring, clever and very crafty when it comes to being invited into your abode.

...Watch your neck.

It's good to know. I'll stock up on wooden stakes and garlic...if those actually work to ward off the un-dead. Maybe a water balloon filled with holy water as a back-up plan -- and a few silver bullets in the revolver for werwolves.

LL: I see another early bird is out and about. What can I say, vampires scared the heck out of me as a child and seeing proof that people in a whole town were afflicted with this fear makes me think all those Hammer films were more spot on than I thought.

Never have I heard of such a thing except in horror movies. This is a most interesting article. Thanks for sharing. We have been a crazy lot of humans for centuries.

Granny Annie: I'm a big horror movie fan so this isn't news to me because I don't believe horror movies sprang up in a vacuum. There is often a reason why local tales spring up and become horror tales for the rest of us. I'm glad there's some vindication of what many of us thought all along.

The cold fear in the human heart (based on reality or farce) can be a powerful driving force. The concept of an actual witch hunt is a metaphor today, but we still can see that sort of groupthink behavior as college students flee perceived micro aggression and run to a safe space.

I love horror movies too but i've never understood the appeal of zombies when there were vampires with their legendary charm.

I love the old vampire movies. Scared the you know what out of me, but I watched them nonetheless. The Zombies are just not in my wheelhouse. Oh wait, there are so many on the far left that are zombies, that I avoid them at all cost.

Have a fabulous day. ☺

LL: I think you need to relax.

Jan: That's exactly why vampires were so creepy because they could be invited into your house while acid dripping aliens would not be so lucky.

Sandee: You and I are pretty close to world views. We should have lunch :)

The only living dead I know of are libtards. Many of them are now being drug into the sunlight where they explode in a matter of seconds because TRUMP.... poof.....poof.....poof....poof. Such a wonderful visual and audio experience.

Not sure if i have any fresh garlic handy, i doubt the powdered stuff would do.

Exactly, Kid. The progression is Vampire, Zombie, Libtard. A wooden stake, a crossbow bolt to the head, and disinfecting sunlight. In that order. I only liked Bela Lugosi as Dracula in the Abbott and Costello movies. I have the boxed collection :)

Kid: That is some vivid imagery.

Messymimi: Fresh garlic is big at our house and not just for vampire control ;)

DaBlade: They made vampires warm, cuddly and sparkly. They've overdone zombies to the point they're not scary anymore. The libbies are the scariest thing in town. Lugosi was good, but if I had to pick a favorite bloodsucker, it would be Christopher Lee.

Zombies vs. Vampires. Wonder who would win in a fight?

Great question. It's getting light out so I need to chill. I'll tackle this question when the sun goes down ;)
