My wife and I were talking about iguanas yesterday. We live in Central Florida, near the Space Center, and haven't seen one. My brother down in Boca Raton has them come across his yard all the time. We're not that much different from south Florida. It's sure not from it being too cold here. The last frost we had was ONE morning in 2018.
I wonder if there's something they eat that doesn't live around here?
I like Iguanas better than snakes or large lizards like Komono Dragons. Kid's suggestion above seems sound. Can't they be trained to perform a useful mission?

Can't they teach them to eat the invading snakes?

It so happens i like iguanas, but i certainly only like them in their place, not wandering around as a non-native species wreaking havoc.
SiGraybeard: We're in Tampa and I've never seen one in my yard. Probably a good guess that there's some food item that doesn't grow here either.
