USS New York

Here SHE is, the USS New York, made from the World Trade Center!

It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center .

It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft.

Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite , LA to cast the ship's bow section. When it was poured into the molds on Sept 9, 2003 , "those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence," recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing, who was there. "It was a spiritual moment for everybody there."

Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager, said that when the trade center steel first arrived, he touched it with his hand and the "hair on my neck stood up." "It had a big meaning to it for all of us," he said. "They knocked us down. They can't keep us down. We're going to be back."

The ship's motto? "Never Forget"

Please keep this going so everyone can see what we are made of in this country!

Isn't she a beauty?

We have the much older, and soon to be retired, USS Kitty Hawk visiting us in Australia at the moment Cube. Though she is on her way out, I have to say that Kitty is a magnificent warship too.

Cube,

As you know, it was Plato who said "only the dead have seen the end of war".

As such I have always felt it the highest duty of Gov't. to be most prepared for war.

The vote for peace types kill me (perhaps even literally in time) with their pathological dishonesty masquerading as idealism or naivte.

On Sept. 13th 2001 I called the local public radio station (Radio Pyongyang) in Tampa and told them their day was past and the new day of Kill, Kill, Kill, was here and it was because of them that this was now necessary.

After the next 9 or 10 calls villifying me were past they got back to the typical blame Bush (Reagan,Bush etc.,) mantra they have been on since they caused Vietnam to fall to the comms.

They thought they won there but the hemorage stopped at Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Thailand, Taiwan, The Philipines, Malaysia and Indonesia held out against the commies and the left worldwide wobbled right through the fall of the Soviets.

For some bizarre reason they have not completely evapoporated. Now they have aligned themselves with the moslem predators they think will knock us down to enable the one world Gov't. they covet.

One whose throne Lord Clinton will never have to vacate.

I hope this new vessel packed with sailors and Devil Dogs will be the next stake in the heart of those who hate our liberty and resent our good fortune.

Semper Fi,
