National Puppy Day

Who knew there was such a thing as National Puppy Day?

Anyway, I have both a German Shepherd and a Doberman, so I present to you a Doberman Shepherd.

I'd buy those puppies.

Really.

Good morning. I love dogs. Throughout my life I had many different types. My best was my boxer, Bruno. Unfortunately, Someone while I was out for the weekend, poisoned him and he past away. Since then I haven't had a dog. It was to painful for me. Of course that was many years ago but the thought of Bruno is still there.
Have a wonderful Monday See ya.

Wow. I had no idea!

We adopted our puppy from a shelter when she was 12 weeks old. She's got some Beagle and Shepherd of some kind in her.

Kathe W.: We have three cats and two big dogs. Happily, not only do they coexist, bit they even seem to enjoy each other's company. Who knew? I grew up watching Tom & Jerry cartoons :)

Paul Pietrangelo: It's bad enough that our beloved pets are with us for such a short time as it is, but to have one killed by someone is a horrible thing. I hope one day you can past Bruno and give your love to another pet.

Jay Noel: Neither did I. I have one of each, but I never thought about what the product of such a mating would look like.

Shelter or rescuing from a family who can no longer care for a pet... it's all good.

Sandee: He is a beautiful dog. I read this about the Dobie Shep, "He has many traits and features that point to the Doberman breed (coloring, coat and feet) and others that lend themselves to the German Shepherd (tail, ears and intelligence). He weighs a little north of 150 lbs.!!! He is a very gentle but protective dog with an amazingly loving personality."

How cool is that?

What a magnificent dog. I do love the ears too.

Jan: Isn't that the coolest thing... you don't have to surgically alter your dog to get those beautiful upright ears. Our Dobie is unaltered, she has the long tail and the droopy ears... do you know that they feel like pepper steak ;)

We love our Maxine, as is.

Oh my youngest daughter Hannah would have a German Shepherd in a moment. We just talked about getting a new puppy when our oldest son leaves the nest! LOL! I think all dog breeds are great and I truly believe it is how one treats a furry friend! I once had an experience with a German Shepherd named 'Mozart'! I was a Princess House consultant and went to a gal's home to do a show. She did not warn me that he was there with here. He was so friendly and I was wearing a dress with a full skirt. He stuck his head right up under my dress! LOL! I was hesitate at first because as a child our neighbors had a German Shepheerd and he was mistreated and chained to a tree! He broke lose one day and chased me down! MY neighbor had just come home from work and he scooped me up with one hand and caught that chain with the other! He took that dog back to the owner and gave them heck! I was frightened for a long time and Mozart brought back those memories for two seconds! That is why I believe how you treat your furry friend is how they will respond! Thanks for this regal share!
