This was the best pic I was able to take of the Blood Supermoon eclipse. Talk about a lot of hype and little to show for it.
No super, no bloody-red, no eclipse. I barely got the moon part. Cloud cover did me in.
Oh well, God willing I'll be around to catch the next one in 2033. I'm nothing if not persistent.
UPDATE: This is what the Blood Supermoon eclipse should've looked like:

You raised false expectations... I had hoped that it would be blood red with a message on it written by God (REPENT!) or Satan (HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT).
Guilty as charged.
Actually I totally forget about it so I'm glad I didn't miss much.
We had a lot of clouds last night and there were many that took their boats out to watch. They came back empty handed.
Have a fabulous day. ☺
Jan: Ha! You lucked out.
Sandee: At least they had a nice evening out on the boat.
We had a wicked thunderstorm in the early afternoon and I was hoping for the cloud cover to dissipate, but it never did. We were given tantalizing snippets of the moon, here and there, but I never once saw the whole moon or any part of the eclipse.
We got to see it for a little while, but the clouds eventually ended the fun here, too. Let's hope for next time!
Much better picture than we got here.
Cube - At least you tried. You can get it the next time. I didn't even look because I knew it would be cloudy as usual. I'm sure it was spectacular.
Mid Michigan view was awesome, and better than advertised.
