The Wonderful Pelican
A wonderful bird is the pelican
His bill can hold more than his belican
He can take in his beak
Food enough for a week
But I'm damned if I see how the helican

That's a sight I've never seen before.
I've seen them down some very large fish. And while I'm sure that science can explain how they manage it, I sure can't.

Ed Bonderenka: That's a great shot. Pelicans are quite common around our beaches, but they don't often stand around with their beaks wide open.

I've seen them cruising the beaches between Daytona and Jax, but never like that.

Aren't they called the garbage men of the bird world?
Our state bird, they are quite interesting. And i think they are another bird that points to a Creator with a sense of humor.
