The Wonderful Pelican





A wonderful bird is the pelican
His bill can hold more than his belican
He can take in his beak
Food enough for a week
But I'm damned if I see how the helican

I've seen them down some very large fish. And while I'm sure that science can explain how they manage it, I sure can't.

Ed Bonderenka: That's a great shot. Pelicans are quite common around our beaches, but they don't often stand around with their beaks wide open.

Our state bird, they are quite interesting. And i think they are another bird that points to a Creator with a sense of humor.
