This really did make me laugh out loud.
Many years ago, shortly after moving out on my own, I made a trip back to my family home. It was raining and, as I ran up the drive way, I slipped on the tile entryway and landed flat on my arse. Much like the owl, I looked around, wondering if the very neighbors who had witnessed my journey from child to adulthood had seen my inelegant fall.
It's one of those memories that stick with you no matter how much you want to forget.
