Giant squid lives matter

That's a lot of calamari!
We're gonna need a bigger boat!
And lots of marinara sauce.

And they battle with large whales.

Ed, not cocktail sauce?

Sandee: I'm glad they're out there and not in my pool.

LL: ðŸĪĢ

Ed Bonderenka: I'm with Kid on this, you would put marina sauce on squid... what kind of Italian are you?

Fascinating critters, i am so glad they are real.

I lived a couple years in Italy. Then Greece and Turkey and Crete.
Calamari sandwiches, stew, fried rings.
But we did marinara.
Never thought of cocktail sauce.
Til now.

Not having a Sperm Whale next to it I can't tell how big it is. They have found many dead ones, but this the first live sighting.

Ed Bonderenka: I don't eat calamari, but with shrimp I use cocktail sauce. Marina is what I use with pasta. Then again, I'm not going to tell Italians how to eat Italian food.

Woodsterman (Odie): Great point. It would've been nice to see a size marker next to this big guy.

I just rewatched the classic Sci-Fi movie The Beast. It featured a
near 100 foot giant Squid. They come in giant size, but not that
giant. The beast went on a rip and tear off the coast of Washington
State, sinking boats, eating people and small whales and generally
disrupting the economy of a small coastal town. It was an OK film
but like all Sci-Fi films, you have to accept that it is fiction.

Leonard Jones: I'm a big sci-fi movie fan myself and I have seen "The Beast." Yes, we must always suspend disbelief when it comes to giant monster movies, but they're still so much fun to watch. Thanks for visiting.
