Apologies?

From David S. Broder of The Washington Post comes
this article
about the apologies due Karl Rove now that Richard Armitage has been identified as the leaker in the Wilson/Plame non-affair.

Broder brings up a few ludicrous statements from ex-Clinton aide, Sidney Blumenthal, and this choice one from Newsweek: "in a July 25, 2005, cover story on Rove, after dutifully noting that Rove's lawyer said the prosecutor had told him that Rove was not a target of the investigation, added: "But this isn't just about the Facts, it's about what Rove's foes regard as a higher Truth: That he is a one-man epicenter of a narrative of Evil."

Shades of fake but accurate again.

Broder dismisses these conspiracy theories as "silliness", but I disagree. I believe these articles were deliberate and premeditated attempts by the liberal MSM to destroy Karl Rove's reputation and weaken the Bush administration.

No silliness here at all.

You are spot on, Cube! Of course, when it's time to eat crow, those Dems are nowhere to be found.

This makes me so mad. Where does Karl Rove go to get back his reputation?

Just goes to show that it doesnt matter, Democrat or Republican, politics makes strange bedfellows. Trite for sure but one could also paraphrase Shakespeare by saying "first let's kill all the politicians".

Speaking of Rove, have you heard the latest load of tripe his enemies have come up with? They're saying he had an exorcism performed on Hillary's old office before he moved into it. On one hand, do the Rove bashers expect us to take this crap seriously? On the other hand... ya know, it might not have been a bad idea. Then again, maybe not. After all, you can't "exorcise" arrogance.

the left DOES NOT apologize wholeheartedly, ever. repeat ten times and commit it to memory.

windypoo: we need to hold their feet to the fire until they apologize.

jill: my disgust at the liberal Democrats is astronomically greater than any complaints I have with the Republicans.

darrell: they go from one lie to the other. It's exhausting to correct every one, and when you do, they whine about it being old news.

nanc: I agree. I'm sure copious amounts of bleach were used to clean that poor White House after the Clintons left.

Remember how they vandalized the offices? Removing all 'W's" from keyboard, pouring glue into drawers, etc. It was a disgusting display and not worthy of the historical building.

If news organizations were actually interested in the truth, they would be bending over backwards to set this story straight with the same ferocity with which they got it WRONG. Don't hold your breath waiting for any apologies; you'll die for sure.
I just hope that the word gets out to every person who heard the accusatory reporting about Rove, Cheney and others regarding this matter. Damage was certainly done, but maybe some will see the blatant partisan attacking by the MSM as a result of this.
