Earthquake

An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 occurred in the Gulf of Mexico about 250 miles south-southwest of Apalachicola, Florida today at 10:56:07 AM EDT.

This earthquake was felt in parts of Florida, Georgia and Alabama.

I didn't feel a thing, but so much for my comfort zone about earthquakes being something I didn't have to worry about as a Floridian.

Wow, that's pretty amazing!

I've never felt an earthquake, even though (I'm told) there are over 400 active fault lines in Colorado. That's OK, TV is exciting enough for me ;-)

I didn't feel it either. I had no idea those could happen down there.

Didn't feel a thing, but then I live in Ohio... We just have to worry about floods and tornados!

I heard on the news that another tremor happened in February 2006. I had forgotten about it because it had been a fluke event. Now, 7 months later we have a large one. That can't be a good sign.

jen: I know what you mean. This kind of excitement, I don't need or crave.

It's probably just a little settling... Like an old house? ;)
