Puppyhead

Rufus, a colored bull terrier, won Best in Show at the Westminster Kennel Club, the first dog in his breed to win the prestigious show.

Rufus' selling point? His head — perfectly shaped like an egg. He beat out 2,622 entries in 165 breeds. When it got down to Best in Show, Rufus was picked over a golden retriever, a Rottweiler, a prize pug, a spirited Dalmatian, an old English sheepdog, and a Scottish deerhound.

Rufus, whose nickname is Puppyhead, is one good looking dog.

Why is that dog smiling at me?!

I'm sorry, but the pug got the shaft there. He was, by far, the best looking dog on that stage.

Rufus is cute, in his own weird sorta way, I suppose.

trinity: yes, he does look like a happy dog, doesn't he?

tlm: Unfortunately, I missed the show so I can't say one way or the other. But I did see Rufus on FOX & he was well-behaved and yes, even cute in an egg-head sort of way.

dogs DO smile! My dog gets such a goofy grin when she comes in from outside or when I get home. SOOOOO cute.

This reminds me of a funny story about Dax, my shepherd. The smell of a silent, but extremely deadly fart permeated the room one day. Gripping my nose, I looked accusingly at each human in the room, but everyone denied the act in the most vehement way. Then we all simultaneously turned to Dax who was sitting up and actually grinning at us. She doesn't grin often, but when she does, she usually has a good reason to do it.

...but my daughter would say my granddog is the cutest!!

that's hysterical cube! But you have to admit, there's nothing more malodorous than a dog fart, and there's no mistaking it!

He looks mighty pleased about it all.
Those dog shows are so fun to watch.

I usually watch. I don't know how I missed this one.

wendy: I tend to shy away from the really fufu dogs myself...not that there's anything wrong with little fufu dogs ;-)
