Sneaky Sharia
Did you know that Butterball has a company practice of "covertly slaughtering all turkeys in accordance with Islamic halal standards."
I didn't know about this insanity until I read this article from American Thinker:
Creeping Halal
I'm ticked off that we had a huge Butterball turkey for Thanksgiving this year.
Arrgh!

Someone's Got To Take Responsibility
The writer, Thomas Lifson, writes that no civilization can survive if an attitude like this becomes widespread.
I think it already has.

Reluctant Reverance
From Moonbattery.com
More Bitter Half Day Reverence
Moochelle couldn't find it, despite the emblazoned "heart" on her shirt, to put her hand to her heart during the National Anthem at the Veterans Memorial at the USS Carl Vinson at the first time ever NCAA basketball game played on an aircraft carrier.
I guess she wasn't happy that some advisor got to her... Look at her face below... (click for a larger image).
I guess I'm as proud of them as they are of our country.

Penn Plot Thickens?
District Attorney Who Never Charged Sandusky Has Been Missing Since 2005
I remember watching some forensic show which featured this missing DA's case. Authorities never found Ray Gricar's body, but his car was found in a Lewisburg parking lot and his laptop, minus the hard drive, was found in the Susquehanna River.
Now we hear DA Gricar had Sandusky and the mother of one of his victims speak in front of police in 1998, the report was referred to as "unfounded" by the DA's office.
Curiouser and curiouser...
Coincidence or is this going to get uglier?

Joe Frazier 1944-2011
Boxing Great Joe Frazier Dies After Cancer Fight
My dad was a big boxing fan over the years and it rubbed off on me. The Ali vs Frazier fights were a big deal at our house and I watched them all. I was very sorry to hear of Mr. Frazier's passing.
RIP Mr. Frazier.

This went through the blogosphere at warp speed:
University Of Indiana Stops Using Live Cats For Study
My old Embryology professor used to say when discussing dissection in class that there was nothing better than a fresh cat.
She was tough on us and we complained about her fast pace, but, years later, I can still recall many of her lectures.

Slow Blogging
Slow blog week. Very busy, but not in a good way. My cousin's 19 year old son was killed in a car accident on Monday and the family is still reeling over his senseless death.
Tonight is the memorial service and tomorrow is the burial (which by the way is also our 29th wedding anniversary).
Blogging will resume in time providing we all survive the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
*sigh*
It's been one heck of a week. I hope things quiet down soon.

Golfer Azinger Zings Obama Over Jobs
I'd be curious to read Mr. Azinger's Tweets, if he has any, about about Moochelle's numerous expensive vacations at taxpayer expense...
Time For The White House To Rein In Michelle Obama's Out Of Control Spending
I imagine there will be no control of Moochelle's extravagance. She'll be off to another vacation before too long because she can get away with it. Who's going to stop her?

I've never read an article that humanizes her more in my eyes.

Caught this on Lucianne.com and I would invite you to compare and contrast with Obama's Big Black Magical Bus Tour:
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Queen of Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Barbados, the Bahamas, Grenada, Papua New Guinea, The Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda, Belize and St Kitts and Nevis. Head of the Commonwealth, Supreme Governor of the Church of England, Duke of Normandy, Duke of Lancaster, Lord of Mann and Paramount Chief of Fiji.
This is the way she travels.
