Last Train To Loserville

Judge Praises 30-year-old Son's Legal Research, Boots Him From Parents' House Anyway

[Cut to the 2:36 minute mark on video to see the narcissistic attention to his hair while speaking to the press after court]

The parents of this 30-year-old moocher had to go to the New York Supreme Court to have him evicted from their home. Michael Rotondo didn't pay rent or help out and his parents even offered him money to leave, but he refused.

I find this situation absurd on so many levels, yet there are people who defend this shiftless azzhat's position.

I would say a pox on both their ... er, sides. These obsequious parents are only now realizing the depth of indolence of their slacker son who, by the way, has a child of his own that he doesn't support.

I'm curious to hear what you think of this case. Please opine.

There are so many of these slugs anymore. They are entitled and that's all there is to it. What a shame.

Have a fabulous day. ♥

It makes a great case for reinstitution the draft.

The deadbeat needs to get a haircut, learn how to show some respect and maybe get shot at in Syria or some other hell hole so he can learn that life is not all about him.

Sandee: I agree, but I think the parents have some culpability in this slug's entitled attitude. Why were there no age appropriate chores in that household when slugboy was growing up? He's 30 and he doesn't help out around the house and you're upset abobut it NOW???

That's one dysfunctional family.

Adrienne: Absolutely. Brief and to the point. And if he doesn't comply with the Judge's order, have him forcibly removed by the police. Period.

LL: The military might be the one thing in the world that could kick his lazy butt into shape, but he'd wash out getting off the bus at boot camp. Or maybe he'd lose it when his beloved tresses were sheared off of his empty noggin. If he causes such a furor over leaving his bedroom and won't help support his own child, why would the military even want him and his navel-gazing self?

He is a special kind of loser, but his parents screwed up in many ways also and imo partially deserve what they are now dealing with.

In about 60 days, I'd like to see a picture this guy working the french fry bin at a McDonalds. Or dumpster diving would be about as good I guess. My life will then be complete. With all of your permissions of course.

Kid: That's where I come down on this. Not to excuse his behavior, but his parents are complicit in this guy's level of self-absorption and inertia. My girls had age appropriate chores all of their lives. Our house will always open to them if they need it, but it's an unspoken rule that they would help out around the house. Who doesn't chip in?

Of course, it's hard to separate the facts from reality, but I've read that he's suing "Best Buy" for making him work on Saturdays.

Let me say this. My lunch buddies know a very obese and unattractive women who goes and applies for jobs where she simply doesn't fit in, which is most places. When they don't hire her, she sues them as her own lawyer and almost always wins. That's what I see for this losers future then given this latest info.

In the back of my mind, i think i remember a case like this from Italy a few years ago. The son was in his late 40s.

Not knowing the parent's side, did he go to school, graduate, and move back in "for a short time" to look for work, then refuse to leave? How long ago did they tell him he had to move out? Did they change the locks, only to have him sue to get back in for his things and sue for them to give him a reasonable amount of time?

Anyway, he needs to move out, and that's all there is to it, because he does not own the house.

Holy smokes! Neckbeard repeatedly interrupts and condescends to THE JUDGE. Just wow.

There are certain developmental windows in which specific skills and behaviors must be learned; after those windows are past, one might learn to FAKE the trait, but it will never be truly integrated into the personality. Clearly Michael Rotondo has not internalized his overall significance in society (which is to say: minimal).

The vets here would have more valid opinions than me, but I bet he'd be a problem like ickle Bradley Manning (not necessarily the leaks part, but definitely the snowflake part) were he ever inducted. A shame, because he's clearly not STUPID, but he might be permanently broken and unfixable.

Messymimi: Mr. Rotondo isn't even remotely shy when it comes to talking about his favorite subject - himself. I'm sure we'll hear from him again.

Mike_C: Good assessment. When he commented on the situation not being fair, it was almost the way a child would say it. At 30, most people realize that life isn't fair and never will be.
