Vincent Schiavelli 1948-2005

Character actor, Vincent Schiavelli, whose gloomy look made him perfect to play creepy or eccentric characters died Monday.

According to the Internet Movie Database, Schiavelli made appearances in some 150 film and television productions, including one of my favorites, "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest", as Fredrickson.

I didn't know his name, but I certainly knew his face.

I went to college with a guy who looked just like this guy. We called him Ghostface Killer. I can't remember his real name.
Just like I didn't know this guy's name, but loved him in everything he did. Well, everything that I saw at least.
RIP lookalike of Ghostface Killer, RIP.

Whoa, he died? Geez...what a memorable face he had.

I remember him in Ghost, the ghost that was haunting subways and using his powers to hit stuff.

The face only a mother or a Hollywood director could love.

RIP Vincent Schiavelli.

Very sad. He was great in Better Off Dead, one of my favorite stupid movies of all time. He will be missed, for sure.

I literally JUST watched Better Off Dead for the first time on Saturday and looked him up because I was always forgetting his name but I've seen him in like everything. 57? Definitely too soon. :(

I agree. He went way too soon. I didn't know the details of Cuckoo's filming. Fascinating that the hospital is still in use. It was a great film. I also liked his work in the Buckaroo Bonzai films.
