Beware of The BLOG...it creeps, it leaps, it glides & slides all over the place.
There may be better actors. There may be better shows. But there are no better shirts.Happy b-day, Trek!
wowza dats a longggggggggggggg time girl!
david: I may disagree with some of your statement, but I'd gladly raise a glass of Romulan ale in toast to that last part. woman: I was but a mere babe *wink* *wink*
Cube, You a Star Trek fan???Who Knew?I was more of a lost in space kid at the time! Never really got too involved with the show during the original production. I was tangentially involved in a fued revolving about the show that resulted in a rather severe punishment fo my best bud at the time. It rather colred my view of the show at the time as well.Around about 1972 or so one of the three UHF channels in Boston (Channel 56) began broadcasting the reruns and it was then I got hooked. remember the glory days of UHF before cable?Anyway, my understanding is that is how the majority of people got the fever and is what gave rise to the cartoon series (which I loved) and the feature film in 1979.Great show, great cast, except clearly George Takai was the better choice for Captain :0QueeQueg
Just wait until nanc gets here and starts mumbling about golf again.........love ya nanc!!! ;)
Great show, great cast, except clearly George Takai was the better choice for Captain :0I would have loved to have seen a spin-off with George Takei in command of the Excelsior.
QQ: Better late than never. At least you didn't let an unfortunate childhood incident mar you for life. BTW do I detect sarcasm in your George Takei statement or are you trying to goad me into a neverending Trek argument like I have with my sister?Clearly, Kirk was the superior choice for Captain.
papa frank: lol! So true. She'll be here any minute now. Fore!wordsmith: So did George Takai. He was lobbying pretty hard for it.

i am a total trekkie too. this is hard for many of my friends to believe. this fact can be blamed on my brother...kw
brooke: yeah, you missed the Romulan ale keg. The Klingon blood wine was a big hit too ;-)salubrina: Not many Vulcans out there, I guess ;-)I liked the tribbles ep, also, The Devil In The Dark, The Doomsday Machine. Many others.
kris: Ha, in my house the order was reversed. I'm the oldest sibling and got hooked on Trek from the very first episode.
Is it just me, or does Obama remind anyone of that Vulcan on Star Trek Voyager?
wordsmith: It may be just you. I don't see it at all. I remember that Vulcan from Star Trek, and Obama is nothing like that Vulcan. Anyone else care to chime in?
it was the vulcan on ST voyager, not on the original star trek...but no, they look nothing alikekw
